Mollie Ann Westphal is the President of the Property Management Group of Balco Properties, Ltd., LLC, which is a commercial real estate company.  Balco is a subsidiary of Bay Alarm Company.  Ms. Westphal is responsible for asset management and real estate redevelopment. Mollie’s focus is also on acquisitions of office products, leasing, and capital projects in California. One of Balco’s goals is sustainable green buildings and redeveloping class B buildings for a higher and better use. Balco is involved in many charities and business groups improving local communities and the way we live and do business in California. Balco belongs to the Chamber of Commerce in the cities of Oakland, Lafayette, Concord and Martinez. Ms. Westphal is currently a member of BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association), ROC (Regional Owners Council), Vistage International, Oakland Builders Association, and YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization). Balco Properties participates in local charities such as, Girls Inc., Boy Scouts of America, Project Night Night and Children’s Hospital.


Reed Westphal

Reed Westphal is Vice President of Balco Properties and is responsible for a wide range of duties.  Reed’s primary focus is on the acquisition of industrial assets and or other asset types in the nine county bay area where there is an opportunity to add value or reposition.  Reed also specializes in the entitlement and development of our assets that no longer serve their original highest and best use.  Other responsibilities also include; managing our large-scale capital improvement projects as well as the day to day management of Balco’s industrial portfolio east of the Caldecott tunnel.  Reed holds a California Real Estate license and is in the process of attaining both his brokers and CPM licenses.

Graham Westphal is co-President of Bay Alarm Company, a sister company to Balco Properties.  Graham works with the Acquisition Team which seeks to grow its asset base through acquisition of Commercial Real Estate.

Lori Brown

Lori Brown, Executive Assistant/Special Projects, joined Balco Properties in January 2009.  Prior to joining Balco, she assisted the Chairman and the CEO at Bay Alarm.  Lori is responsible for assisting the President of Balco. She acts as a liaison between executive management and the daily property management operations. She holds an MBA from Averett College, in Virginia.


Queenie Cheung

Queenie Cheung joined Balco Properties in June 2016 with broad experience in business, real estate, arts, and education. She graduated from the University of California, Riverside and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration.  Currently, she is the commercial property manager for the North Bay and Southern California locations. Prior to joining Balco Properties, she worked for a property management firm in the Peninsula managing multi-tenant commercial buildings in the bay area.


Andrea Cordova

Andrea Cordova joined Balco Properties in January 2018 with a broad range of experience in real estate.  She is responsible for assisting in all property, asset and transaction management activities.  Andrea comes to us from Terreno Realty Corp, and Prologis with a combined 17 years’ experience managing class A office, and industrial warehouse space.  She obtained her Real Estate License in 2012.


Gary Furney

Gary Furney joined Balco Properties in October 2014.  As Accounting Manager, he is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations for Balco Properties.  He began his career at Deloitte followed by real estate experience at Catellus Development Company, where he was the SEC Reporting Manager.  Subsequently, at Shorenstein, he was Portfolio Accounting Manager.  Gary graduated from Baylor University, with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and he holds an active California Certified Public Accountant’s license.


Tiffany Lundberg

Tiffany joined Balco Properties in June 2015. Prior to joining Balco, Tiffany worked in education. As an Assistant Property Manager, Tiffany addresses Tenant concerns and maintenance issues. She also assists in accounts receivable and payable. For Marketing, Tiffany manages the website and all social media for Balco. In Tiffany’s spare time she hikes, skis, races, travels, and watches movies.


Corissa Lutz

Supervises all property management, asset, and transaction management activities for Balco Properties. Cori has a Master’s Degree in Business with experience in commercial real estate, having held positions with Prologis, Cushman and Wakefield, and Digital Realty.


Darryl Mishima

Darryl joined Balco Properties in May 2017. As Property Accountant, he is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operation for Balco Properties. After graduating from the California State University of Sacramento with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, Darryl began his Accounting career at a regional public accounting firm in Emeryville, California. Before joining the Balco Properties team, he practiced audit and tax for various types of companies such as real estate, retail, and professional services. In his spare time, Darryl likes to stay active by playing sports such as basketball, softball, bowling, and golf.


Robert Porter

Robert Porter joined Balco Properties Ltd., LLC in 2014 to provide leadership and strategic direction for the accounting and financial reporting functions of the company.  He’s assumed increasing responsibilities for financial analysis and planning to support the growth and vision of Balco Properties.

Robert brings to Balco over 15 years of progressive accounting experience in the commercial real estate industry.  He began his career with big six public accounting experience at Coopers & Lybrand followed by large institutional real estate experience at Hines where in addition to his normal responsibilities performed due diligence for acquisitions and dispositions of properties.  He served in controllership and supervisory roles at Rawson, Blum & Leon and Wareham Development where he expanded his knowledge in numerous areas including entity formation, 1031 Exchange transactions, construction / development accounting and other relevant experiences beneficial to investments in real estate.  Robert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.


Cecile Ramos

Cecile Ramos joined Balco Properties in April 2017 to manage the commercial and industrial portfolio in the Oakland, Hayward, Emeryville, and Napa areas. She brings to Balco over 15 years of property management experience having held positions with Cushman & Wakefield, Equity Office Properties, CB Richard Ellis, and PM Realty Group. Recently, Cecile gained knowledge working with a local family owned and operated property management group propelling her even further into leasing and property repositioning.

Cecile received a BA Degree in Environmental Studies from San Francisco State University and emphasized in the Urban Environment. She has interest in USGBC’s LEED program, sustainability, biomimicry, resource conservation, and city planning. She has her RPA Designation through BOMI International and has an active CA Real Estate Sales License.


James Ramos

James joined Balco in 2017 with a broad and deep real estate background. While attending the University of California at Berkeley, he purchased a 24 bedroom rooming house as his first real estate investment.  For his private account, he continues to negotiate the purchase of and structure the financing for many properties.  James has held accounting and management positions in areas of hospitality, software, procurement, airlines and property management. Before Balco, at Colliers International, James managed a large team of property accountants responsible for financial reporting to a wide range of individual and institutional clients. Currently, he is accountable for all accounting functions of an extensive portfolio of commercial properties located in the San Francisco Bay Area.  James enjoys spending time with his partner and two dogs and engages in community involvement through his church and a global training & development organization.


Scott Rector

Scott joined Balco in June 2016 and is responsible for assisting in all property, asset, and transaction management activities. He comes to us from Digital Realty with ten years’ experience in class-A data center property management, starting as an accounting assistant and advancing into the role of Assistant Real Estate Manager.  Scott joined the Balco team to pursue exciting opportunities to grow his industry knowledge and experience in commercial real estate.
